Let's start on Sunday August 30th, 2015. I was unwillingly preparing for another week of working two jobs and finishing my college degree. I did NOT want the weekend to end. I pulled something out of the closet to wear for the following day, a cute romper and some sandals, but quickly decided that was going to be too much work early the next morning. Andrew said, "No, wear that, that's cute!" I brushed him off and grabed some jean shorts and a tank top. The next day started like any other. I was up early to work at Missouri State's Child Development Center. Every morning we would go outside and play with the kids. This day, August 31st, was particuarly hot. We came back inside to our normal routine, ready for lunch. As soon as we got into the classroom, my co-worker begged me to go find some random object in the closet down the hall. I had never seen was she was explaining but went to look anyway. After spending 5 minutes in the closet looking for this mystery object I returned to my classroom a little frusturated. I walked in to tiny whispers, and a few extra staff just curiously standing around. I had no idea what was going on. My co-worker then told me that the children had prepared something for me and that I needed to turn around. I felt super weird with all the attention on me with the guests in our room. I was hot, hungry, and i looked like a wreck! As I turned around I noticed the staff members in my room had their phones out videoing. I sat thinking...."surely not". My mind and my heart started racing. I was poked in the arm by one of my students handing me a bouquet of roses. As I turned around, sure enough, there was Andrew, tall and handsome as ever. I honestly don't remember what all he said to me but I know it was better than I ever could have thought of. My classroom of 20 students sat and watched and a little late on their cue held up letters around the group rug that spelt out "WILL YOU MARRY ME?" It was the best day ever. I had the afternoon off and we spent it sharing the news with our family.

Ladies- If your boyfriend ever gives you outfit advice, GO WITH IT!

To start off I had to gain approval from Tori's dad. I met both Matt and Sheila for lunch one day to ask for her hand in marriage, they both had an idea it was coming. They were excited and itching to share the news with family and friends. In the following week I was busy brainstorming ideas of how to ask her to marry me. I was back and forth as to what I should do, and how I should go about it. It took some time and careful planning to make it special and something Tori was not expecting. I spoke with my mum (Christina Turner) and Sheila Anderson (Tori's mum) to try and find the best way to ask her. One idea I had in mind was a hiking trip, and proposal on top of a cliff. However, that was too risky as Tori might figure it out. Eventually, after debate I came up with the idea of asking her in front of her pre-school class. I spoke to her boss, and knew this was the best way to catch her off guard. The day had come and I was nervous but excited at the same time. I just wanted to make it special and be sure that everything went smoothly. I hid in a room adjacent to her classroom. Before hiding I got all the kids to sit down and each hold a letter spelling out Will You Marry Me? The stage was set and it was time. I walked over to Tori and all of what I was going to saywent out of the window. Everything I had gone over in my head a million times was already lost and I really just spoke of what came to me in the moment. It was something along the lines of "I want to wake up to your beautiful face every single day." I got down on one knee and popped the question.
